Cake

It is as done as it gets for tonight. Tomorrow morning (EARLY) ... well, this morning since it's after midnight, we get to carefully drive it to church and set it up, where I will put the finishing touches on it.

Everything went great after I got the new icing mixed up. Thanks for hangin' in there with me! LOL.

Now I must get a few more things done really quick before hauling off to bed, as we have a VERY busy day ahead of us tomorrow.

Wonderful, wonderful! Now, ready to do some cupcakes, cookies, doughnuts, or pies for a wedding? I wonder if I can convince the bride (and mother-of-the-bride) to switch to one of those for the cake I am supposed to do in Jan.

From Aliisa:

Miriam,
I am sure it is beautiful!! You know every once in awhile I have that same problem with something. Might be cookies or cake etc but sometimes, one batch just flops for no apparent reason. Im so glad you got it all fixed and that you are done!! I cant wait to see pictures!!

As for weddings, we did have a cake, but we had a dessert reception. Cake, cookies, breads, apples with a caramel fountain to dip them in. It was fun, however...I made most of it all myself and THAT was crazy!!

Miriam,

I'd love to see pictures of the cake if you have them. Your cakes always turn out beautiful!

Is your icing a secret or can you share? I'd love to make Mary-Grace's 1st B-day cake!! I don't know how to make icing though.

Talk to you soon.
Oh, check out my blog for my challenge that I've given myself.

Hugs.

I'm glad you got the cake done successfully. Now, after you rest up from the big weekend and all, we are panting with tongues hanging out to see pictures and to hear about your weekend!
