The Demolition Derby Begins

Daniel is home today, and has spent all day pulling up the carpet in the living room. This involved moving everything (piano, sofa, tv, tv stand, stereo, speakers....) OUT of the living room into other places. He did alot of that while I was gone this morning. Tomorrow a friend is coming to help him, and they are going to put down the hardwood floor in the Living Room and Dining Room!!

Since I got home, I've helped carry some stuff around... like the big roll of carpet out the door... the TV stand... all HEAVY things of course!! I hope it doesn't mess with my back too much - I was just at the chiropractor this morning!

I really need to go get the kitchen cleaned up and get the bottom of the hall closet cleaned out (they'll be putting hardwood in there, too), but I will come back and post pictures of the demo work in this post later on, so check back!!

Man, do you guys ever do a lot of stuff! I hate to even mention how little gets done around here. Use proper body mechanics to save your back. I am looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Can't wait to see the pictures! WE do all our own remodeling too.I just finished trimming our new windows with wood trim and making new drapes in the family room. It is amazing what a sense of accomplishment it brings to be able to say I did that!

You will love your floors! We used to have carpet and were going to replace it, we pulled up the carpet & hiding beneath it were beautiful wood floors. We refinished them and they turned out amazing. It's so nice not to have to worry about spilling or dragging in mud! Anxious to see how it turned out!

Y'all must have put floor down in the entire house, the front lawn, the back yard, and everywhere by now, and you haven't had any time to put up the pictures. I understand, totally understand. The pictures will explain it all and blow us away! Catch up on your sleep, that's what I am about to do. (That's why I'm acting silly, can you tell?)
