I voted, you better have voted, too!

I voted. I proudly voted. If I didn't vote, I would be giving 1 more vote to the "other guy".

I'm mighty proud to be an American. I'm proud that the United States of America has troops out there proudly fighting to protect us. They don't know me, and I don't know them, but I sure do appreciate what they're doing. I'm proud that as an American I have the right to vote. I'm proud of alot of things about the United States of America. But there are some that I am not.

I did not vote "one issue", but I am not proud of the fact that many of my fellow-Americans are. And the "one issue" that they are looking at totally contradicts another VERY MAJOR issue. Many that I am familiar with - friends, neighbors, who knows - maybe even relatives - are looking at war as their deciding issue. And while they are voting for Obama so that the troops come home immediately and the "killing" stops, they are voting saying "ok, kill babies instead". I don't understand it, and even if you try to explain it, I still wouldn't - so please don't try.

I am not a theologian, but I do know that God commanded wars in the Scripture. God has not changed. I also know that He did not command Pharaoh or Herod to kill all the baby boys. This boils down to 2 things in my book of understanding:
God is for just war
God is against murder

Go Vote.

I'm right there with you! This will be my first election to vote in, ever! The main reason I registered was because of the nonsense. I couldn't complain anymore if I didn't vote.

As I told a dear friend of mine...My eternity is FAR more important to me than the here and now. I can not consiously vote for someone who is willing to kill God's creation...on purpose.
