Everybody may look at is as an asset but they have apparently never tried to find a nice pair of jeans.

I like many others (who are pregnant and 5'2) shopped at Motherhood Maternity. I also found this online store when I was looking for something to wear to a blogging conference. They have PETITE MATERNITY sizes! They are a bit pricey on some items though.

Good Luck.Tricia@onceamonthmom.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10875263575111755546noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8364051899386841101.post-63164958463152946512009-10-18T20:25:02.233-04:002009-10-18T20:25:02.233-04:00I'm 5'1 and a little, um...voluptuous lol....I'm 5'1 and a little, um...voluptuous lol. I bought two pairs of these jeans and wore them the duration of my pregnancy: http://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?Product_Id=981010056&MasterCategory_Id=MC6 They're more expensive than I'd like to pay, but they are far more expandable than most other jeans, so they can be worn for your entire pregnancy rather than replaced every two or three months. If you spend $25 every two months on two pair of jeans for nine months, you're paying easily over $200 on jeans alone. These will just cost you $60 for two pairs that will last you the whole time.

I also lived in MM tops, too. They are VERY well made and stand up to almost anything. I am 60" tall and was 57" around my belly at my biggest and never had issues with the jeans or tops. I wish I could still wear them, in fact, lol!

Also--my goodwill carries these jeans and sells them for $3.50/pair. Just an idea!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08297706448937323820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8364051899386841101.post-69695890635446242072009-10-16T14:36:55.761-04:002009-10-16T14:36:55.761-04:00I am very short and I have found that shopping on ...I am very short and I have found that shopping on line is the elast painful method of shopping. What is "normal" size anyway? I am not tall or short, super skinny, well-endowed, or thick and there is still only one brand of jeans I can wear in one size and one cut. I have to order them through one certian store. And when I went to order a few weeks ago, guess what? The cut I needed was no longer available in the size I need because according to the manufacturer, there are not enough people in that size to merit making that cut option. Soo, I got to search through their order book to try and find the most similar cut in the right size. Fortunately there is a dear lady there who bends over backwards to help me find the right one and interpret all the codes and numbers. So I don't think anyone needs to feel as if they are not normal, because I don't think normal exists. And I recently read some articles on how clothing models are starting to rebel and refuse to be an unhealthy weight because it is damaging to society to portray normal as a starving, underdeveloped twenty-five yearold.Rachelnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8364051899386841101.post-10841801911895771102009-10-15T14:01:35.859-04:002009-10-15T14:01:35.859-04:00I agree with you about not being able to find clot...I agree with you about not being able to find clothes that fit short legged, waisted, etc. people. It is soooo hard to find a pair of pants these days!!! I was lamenting over this last week to some of my friends. Of course, they are all tall and normal sized people. It worked like a dream! Then I saved them for when I was pregnant the next time.

Just a thought. But it would work for skirts too!

JeannaMOJeannaMOnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8364051899386841101.post-71780064292879180612009-10-15T10:12:59.318-04:002009-10-15T10:12:59.318-04:00I went to Motherhood Mat. too and JCPenney. I had a pair of black pants that were made of lycra that I wore everyday and everywhere. I dressed for comfort and in a few months you'll be able to dress normally : )Meghanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05618699953096425085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8364051899386841101.post-32580768085730898882009-10-15T09:33:46.823-04:002009-10-15T09:33:46.823-04:00I absolutely hated shopping for maternity clothes!...I absolutely hated shopping for maternity clothes! I had these two dresses that just ballooned around me and I despised them. I practically lived in Old Navy maternity jeans with maternity tanks. (When it was still cold--my baby was born in June--I wore non-maternity cardigans, unbuttoned, over the tanks). I actually bought a couple non-maternity empire-waist dresses from both Target and forever21 that were PERFECT. Comfy, soft, casual, and totally big enough to cover my belly even at 37 weeks. I just purchased a size up to account for the fact that they weren't maternity.

So...good luck!Catehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16264419866877407201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8364051899386841101.post-46728123648715682532009-10-15T07:26:52.949-04:002009-10-15T07:26:52.949-04:00Sarah - Motherhood is exactly where I shopped at o...Sarah - Motherhood is exactly where I shopped at online lastnight! LOL! They make the brand of capris I have, so I'm hoping other stuff is similarly sized.

Jenn - LOL, leggings/sweatpants or some kind of warm something to wear on the bottom is on my "next to find" list. Yeah, it's work, but I've done it before. Ask me in another week (not this one) and maybe I can do some of that for you, if you need it.Sallyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01648805632326563495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8364051899386841101.post-37973884069431398902009-10-15T06:40:04.225-04:002009-10-15T06:40:04.225-04:00Man, I feel sorry for you! That's one reason I made/had made some jumpers.

One thing you might try, if you find a piece or two that fits, is Google the name on the tag and see if it gets you to that company, or more skirts/pants/shirts of the same brand that will fit.

I really hope you can find something! You have a ways to go yet, and sheets are so annoying to wear!Sallyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01648805632326563495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8364051899386841101.post-36279511477701058642009-10-15T05:41:12.974-04:002009-10-15T05:41:12.974-04:00You and me both, Miriam. We went to Octoberfest and everyone called me Barney.

I wore leggings and hubbys button down shirts for the rest of that preg and the next two. Yes, I'm short waisted!

I bought a few things from Motherhood and liked them fairly well.

I also shopped online at Old Navy and really liked the stuff they had. I ordered a size larger because some of the stuff was really short. Many of the shirts I grew out of quickly because they just didn't cover my belly.

It's okay to have a whiny moment. =)Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15364461923987515007noreply@blogger.com
